She has won multiple acting awards, most notably 2 Sags, 2 Golden Globe Awards, 2 Bafta's, an academy award, as well as the Volpi Cup at 64th Venice.
Cate's husband is is playwhright and screenwriter Andrew Upton, she met him in 1996 while she was performing in a production of The Seagull.
